Ivana Simic

Ivana Simic, PhD, CIP is the Associate Director of University of Florida Institutional Review Boards. She oversees Biomedical and Social/Behavioral IRBs that cover Gainesville and Jacksonville campuses and their associated academic medical centers. Prior to joining the IRB, Ivana has taught Bioethics and Applied Epistemology at the University of Florida. Ivana regularly contributes to the national conversation on IRB processes, single IRB, among other human research protections topics. She has been involved in single IRB work for several years and has co-led SMART IRB working group to harmonize ancillary reviews. Ivana has a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Florida.
