Doris Chang

Associate Clinical Research Associate

Merck

Doris graduated from the University of Maryland in 2021 and began her career in a research lab studying the role of G protein-coupled receptors in modulating behavioral flexibility using mouse models. Wanting to engage more in patient-centered research, she entered the clinical research field as a part-time In-house CRA at a CRO focusing primarily on regulatory affairs on trials across various therapeutic areas. She later took on an additional position as a Clinical Research Assistant at Walter Reed where she played an integral role in recruiting patients for oncology clinical studies. In 2024, Doris transitioned into a Clinical Research Associate position through Merck’s Associate CRA training program. Her diverse working experience at the site, CRO, and sponsor levels has provided her with a well-rounded understanding of the various stakeholders and moving parts involved in clinical research. She continues to leverage her unique perspectives to foster effective collaboration and improve research outcomes.
