I began formal training in educational psychology, teaching, and applied pedagogical theory as an undergraduate at UCSB studying biopsychology with a specialization in math and science education. I held multiple research and student teaching positions in primary school education as an undergraduate, learning to connect and apply education research to my teaching practice. I first joined the Stanford Cancer Institute (SCI) Clinical Trials Office as a CRC for phase 1 solid tumors and early drug development in 2018, where I gained experience in coordinating clinical operations, finance, and regulatory aspects of clinical trials. In 2023, I transitioned to a new role in our office as Clinical Research Educator, where I develop and teach staff orientations, MD investigator clinical operations workshops, APP investigator onboarding, and specialized team trainings. I am also our office's education committee chair and was a member of the AACI education subcommittee.
