Amy Porter, MBA, PE is the Director of Operations at the Texas Biomedical Device Center (TxBDC), where she leads complex, multi-site clinical trials involving novel implantable devices and neuromodulation therapies. With a background in engineering and regulatory strategy, she has overseen the full translational pathway—from bench and preclinical development through FDA IDE submission and execution of an Early Feasibility Study (EFS). Amy specializes in sponsor-investigator trial management, operational risk mitigation, and compliance-driven workflow design. She holds a BS from Oklahoma State University, an MBA from The University of Texas at Dallas, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in multiple states. Amy brings a unique blend of systems thinking, clinical operations leadership, and ground-level execution to the academic research space.
