Peter Shin, PhD, MPH is the Chief Science Officer at the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC), where he leads research and data initiatives to support health centers in advancing the quintuple aims of care. A nationally recognized expert in health care financing, safety net, and community health systems. Dr. Shin has authored over 100 publications on the health care safety net, Medicaid, and underserved populations. Prior to NACHC, he spent over 30 years at The George Washington University as a tenured Associate Professor and founding Research Director of the Geiger Gibson Program in Community Health. He holds a PhD in Public Policy and an MPH from GWU, and a BA in Biology from Oberlin College.
