Emilia joined Sun Valley Research Center in November 2021 as a bilingual research assistant/recruiter. She assisted in pre-screening and identifying participants across various studies from our internal database, incoming referrals from social media ads, incoming referrals from the community, and central recruitment campaigns. In her prior role, Emilia oversaw participant recruitment, coordinating outreach and enrollment activities across multiple clinical studies. As of August 2025, she transitioned into her current role as a Clinical Research Coordinator, applying her background in recruitment and participant engagement to clinical trial management. Emilia earned an Associates of Arts in Behavioral Sciences and Psychology from Imperial Valley College in 2022, and transferred to San Diego State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Psychology in Spring 2024.
