Becca Hayes, MD, MEHP, is Director of Research at the North Carolina Community Health Center Association (NCCHCA), leading a new research department dedicated to advancing health equity and supporting Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) in community-engaged research. As Principal Investigator for the FDA-funded Racial and Ethnic Minority Acceleration for Health Equity (REACH) initiative, she developed a curriculum to train community health workers in clinical research engagement. Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, Dr. Hayes previously served as Chief Medical Officer at a large Midwestern FQHC, overseeing clinical operations, quality, and population health. She completed her MD and residency at Marshall University in Huntington, WV, holds a Master of Education in the Health Professions from Johns Hopkins University, and a LEAN Green Belt from the University of Michigan. Dr. Hayes is a recipient of the Pediatric Academic Societies House Officer Research Award.
