Jamie P. Dwyer, M.D. is Assistant Vice President for Clinical Research at University of Utah Health, Professor of Medicine in Nephrology & Hypertension, and Director of the Utah Data Coordinating Center. He serves on multiple Executive Committees, Steering Committees, and DSMBs, with a focus on kidney disease, cardiovascular outcomes, and obesity. A former FDA CardioRenal Advisory Committee member, he has presented and reviewed data for regulatory agencies. Dr. Dwyer co-founded Innovative Renal Care and Corventum, advancing kidney care and cardio-oncology, respectively. A practicing nephrologist and award-winning educator, he was inducted into Vanderbilt’s Academy for Excellence in Education. Dr. Dwyer earned his Sc.B. and M.D. with Distinction from Brown University, completed internal medicine training and a chief residency at Mayo Clinic, and nephrology fellowship at Vanderbilt. He joined the University of Utah in 2022 after faculty appointments at Mayo and Vanderbilt.
